Overview
Sweeping views of the sea and coastline
Located near the village of Ansedonia, the villa overlooks the seven-kilometer long Feniglia Nature Reserve, the promontory of Monte Argentario and the island of Giannutri, once a favorite holiday destination of the elites of the Roman Empire. You can savor sweeping views of the sea and coastline throughout the villa or a short drive will take you to beautiful sandy beaches.
The villa is surrounded by a lovely Mediterranean garden of olive trees, pines, junipers and potted plants. The interiors are luminous and airy thanks to white walls and large windows looking out to the sparking bay. The decor tastefully combines vintage prints and maps with earth-toned contemporary furnishings, large format photos, colorful accents and clever hints to Tuscan traditions and its seaside location.
Villa Ansedonia has a total of six bedrooms including a Master with a private terrace and a kids’ room with a bunk bed and twin bed and five en suite bathrooms plus one additional bathroom.
The main living space is on the upper floor, where you’ll find the living room, dining area, well-equipped kitchen and four double rooms, among which is the Master with a private terrace and a kid’s room with a bunk bed and a twin bed. At the back of the villa, off the kitchen and the dining room is a large terrace with dining table and outdoor living room.
The ground floor is home to a further double room and a twin, plus a kitchenette and an additional living room with its own dining terrace and lovely outdoor sitting area. Near to all bathrooms have been recently refurbished and feature elegant tiles, luxurious fixtures and large showers or tubs. The villa’s layout makes it ideal for a family reunion or group of friends with kids.
Guests will certainly spend much time on the wonderful pool deck, where you can savor more sweeping vistas while relaxing on its sunbeds. There is plenty to do in the area, including visiting the gorgeous pristine beaches of Southern Tuscany, exploring medieval villages and boat trips along the coast. Roma Fiumicino airport is only an hour and a half drive away, which also adds to the villa’s convenience and appeal.

Activities
Tuscany, Italy most famous region, conceals a secret called Maremma. With a fascinating history that dates back to the Etruscans, a magical land made up of a stretch of pristine hills and countryside expanding to reach long sandy beaches, breath taking rocks and a sea renowned for its blue colors and clarity.
Drive in the morning to one of the tips of La Feniglia beach, hire bicycles or walk along the pine-trees bush covered path alongside the beach; have a swim and relax on the beach.
Visit Porto Ercole (Monte Argentario) and Orbetello, enjoy the unpretentious villages with some simple shopping, an aperitif and excellent dinner overlooking the sea at sunset at Due Pini restaurant, on the way to Porto Santo Stefano.
Visit the ancient village of (upper) Capalbio, walk on the ancient wall’s path and enjoy the view over the country and sea before having a drink or dinner in one of the old village’s restaurant.
Spend a day on the beach in Capalbio, enjoy the sea and have a walk on the long stretch of pristine beach at sunset before a drink at l’Ultima Spiaggia and dinner at La Dogana.
Visit the Giardino dei Tarocchi (Tarot Garden), a fantasy like open art installation from the eccentric late artist Nicki de Saint Phalle, on the road from our home to the sea.
Take a drive to the surrounding old villages of Scansano, Magliano, Talamone, Pitigliano, Sovana, Sorana, the Thermal Baths of Saturnia and enjoy the south-most Tuscan landscapes and ancient medieval villages, or visit the ancient Etrurian site of Vulci.
Another magical place, both because of the beauty of its ruins and the legends that shroud it in mystery, is San Bruzio Monastery.
Monte Argentario on one side and Parco della Maremma on the other constitute a unique microcosm, a natural reserve where to encounter porcupines, foxes, deer, bulls and the typical Maremman cows, white with robust lyre-shaped horns. In the lagoon of Orbetello rare birds, including pink flamingos, nest.
On a day boat trip to enjoy the seven Islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, that stand out on the horizon in front of the estate: Elba, Giglio, Giannutri, Capraia, Pianosa, Montecristo and Gorgona.
For outdoor sport lovers: the exclusive Argentario Golf Club, the kite and windsurfing heaven of Talamone Bay, hiking, biking or horseback riding on the beaches and in the forests surrounding the property.
The rocky seaside is easily accessible, 200 m, from the villa by a narrow path.
The nearest beach of fine sand is la Feniglia, 10 minutes by car, 30 minutes by foot.
In Ansedonia, 3 minutes by car from the villa, there are a couple of restaurants.
The nearest town is Orbetello (10 minutes away) with Saturday morning market, grocery shops, bakery, butcher, wine shops, pizza, restaurants etc.
