Overview
In one of the lovliest villages in Veneto
Casa Asolo is located on top of a quiet hill, just five minutes by car (or 20 minutes on foot) from the center of one of the loveliest villages in Italy.
Newly restored, the villa has been built to take full advantage of the exceptional views over the valley and of the fortress that is the symbol of Asolo. The house is a wonderful combination of traditional and modern and is ideal for three couples. Although the villa is exceptionally well furnished, the overall feeling is one of comfort. Colors are soothing and there are many beautiful, artistic touches throughout the house. There are three double bedrooms with queen beds (180 x 200 cm), each with its own spacious en suite bathroom. Beds are two mattresses on one frame and can be fitted with single linens on request (beds cannot be divided).
The lovely terrace is the perfect spot to relax or dine while enjoying the spectacular views of the valley. Outdoor lighting illuminates the property and the pool in the evenings. The property is behind an electric gate and parking is available for three cars within the property grounds.
This twelve-acre estate is the perfect accommodation for guests who seek peace and privacy with easy access to a village. For safety reasons, young children (1-7 years) are not permitted because the pool is not gated. Casa Asolo is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties.

10-08-2016: The Villa was absolutely perfect...
Just back from Italy and wanted to let you know that the Villa was absolutely perfect. The property was just what we were hoping for with our two adult kids.
We loved Asolo as well.
Many thanks. T.N.
Amazing location, wonderful farmhouse conversion
Reviewed August 10, 2015
This is an beautifully converted and presented property offering luxury accommodation.
It is well appointed and equipped with a particularly splendid master bedroom and bathroom. It is located near the 12th century castle 1000ft above sea level with amazing views over the plain, which is at 350 ft. Asolo itself sits at 700ft above sea level - the walk to town involves 50' of assent and 350' of mainly stairs down to the town - which means in reverse its 350ft back up! This didn't bother us - fresh back from the Dolomites - but it might both some. The house itself is over 3 levels with 2 flights of stairs - again need to be careful if anyone had issues with stairs. The house is ideal for a family like ours - where we were paying and obviously took the master suite - would be a hard call for those sharing the cost to decide who got the best room! Not that the other rooms are substandard - just not a match to the master suite.
We rented the villa in September, 2013. We would like to return next spring for two weeks. The property is lovely and the service from Francesca and Regina was fantastic! We hope it is available.

Elegant and comfortable home with sweeping views
Left on Sep 24, 2011 for a stay in Sep 2011
The home is warm and inviting, and the grounds are beautiful. Everything was immaculate. Luigina is a wonderful cook, excellent housekeeper, and a lovely lady. We also enjoyed the meals provided at "home" by Piero, an executive chef at a nearby upscale restaurant. Be sure to rent the smallest car possible, as the villa is up a long, extremely narrow, winding hill. It was very difficult to navigate around the construction trucks on the hill, but a small car can manage.
Dear Bettina,
we had a very nice stay at the house in Asolo, this year as well. It's a lovely house and a very nice, calm village.
We are thinking about having another week in Italy next year (same week), but would like to go to another place. Do you have a nice house, with swimming pool, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and walking distance to some nice restaurants (village)? As you can see from our whishes, we would like to rent a place similar to Asolo. :-)

Activities
Asolo is a small town, famous for its lace and silk weaving. It is also resplendent with monuments, such as the remains of an amphitheatre and an aqueduct, the Rocca (castle of the 12th early 13th century), or you can visit the Palazzo della Ragione which has now become the museum of the city. In the last century it was a privileged resort by artists and writers such as Robert Browning, Igor Stravinsky, Ernest Hemmingway and the famous Eleonora Duse. Asolo is known for its wine, its fabrics and embroidery, hand-painted ceramics, and antique furniture (with an antiques fair on the second Sunday of each month).
During the summer months, there are live concerts and music festivals. Wander the lovely boutiques and local artisan shops in Asolo. Asolo is a great place to take peaceful walks to enjoy the scenery.
Excursions in the area are possible on foot, bicycle or horseback; and three golf courses are nearby.
Casa Asolo is only an hour’s drive (50 minutes by train) from Venice. The nearest railway stations are Castelfranco 16 km, Bassano del Grappa 16 km and Montebelluna 15 km; transfers can be arranged.
The town of Bassano del Grappa, 16 km from Asolo, is located in the heart of Veneto at the foot of the Alps. The main productions of Bassano are white asparagus, ceramics, and of course grappa. You must see the Cathedral (Duomo), the Castello Superiore (Upper Castle), or the Church of St. John the Baptist.
In Venice you will have the opportunity to visit any of the 84 churches present in the city, including of course the Basilica of St. Marco, which stands next to the Doge’s Palazzo, one of the main landmarks of Venice. You can also visit the islands, such as Murano, famous for its beautiful hand blown glass.
48 km from Asolo, you will find Padua. If you had to choose one thing to see, it would be the Cappella degli Scrovegni, a chapel entirely painted with frescoes by Giotto in the 14th century. This is considered the work which marks the beginning of the Renaissance. The main museum of Padua exposes wonderful artworks. The Palazzo della Ragione (Palace of Reason) is a surprising builing which rises above all the rest of the historical center of Padua.
At Vicenza you will be dazzled by Palladio’s genius. The beauty of the Olympic Theatre, an embodiment of Andrea Palladio, the Palladian Basilica, another of his masterworks, or the Loggia del Capitano. The small streets of this compact city want to be explored on foot, which will bring an exciting reward at each 20 steps you take.
The city of Verona contains many treasures: start with the Roman monuments, such as the Roman Arena. Garden lovers will want to visit the Giardino Giusti. The San Zeno church will stay with you for long. Every day the Piazza delle Erbe, a beautiful square in the center of town has a colourful market.
